NATO SUMMIT PLANS
The upcoming NATO Summit on Sunday, May 20, to Monday, May 21, will directly affect Museum Pointe and our surrounding neighborhood.
The meetings will be held at McCormick Place; however, most of the Foreign Dignitaries will be staying in hotels throughout the city.
A large number of journalists, visitors and protesters are expected to be in the city during this period. There will be police-enforced street closures, as well as 100-150 motorcades passing through the city each day.
Other events impacting traffic throughout the city that weekend include the Cubs-Sox Crosstown Classic Baseball Series at Wrigley Field and the Bulls Playoff Series at the United Center.
Travel throughout the city and surrounding area will be restricted.
Friday, May 18th -
Tuesday, May 22:
* All Owners, Residents and Guests should carry identification, such as a Driver’s License, State ID or passport when traveling in the city.
* You can receive text alerts about NATO Summit by registering at

* We suggest that you do not plan any large parties or events during this time.
* No moves or deliveries will be permitted during this time.
* The parking garage entrances will be monitored by our staff. Anyone parking in the garage that is not recognized by our staff will be asked to show proof of I.D.
* Visitor parking in the garage is not recommended during this time. However, if you have visitors parking in the garage, please make sure they are registered with the front desk before, Friday, May 18th. To register your guest, you must provide the front desk with the name of the guest parking in the garage and the address that will appear on the ID being presented to staff.
All unit owners are invited to the next Museum Park East Umbrella Board of Directors meeting to discuss proposed Rules changes for the 3rd floor Game Room and the swimming pool.
The Board voted to revise the Rules and Regulations at its April 16th meeting.
A rule in the swimming pool regulations has also been changed to reflect state statutes:
This facility is not protected by lifeguards. Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible person at least 16 years of age. Swimming alone is not recommended. (77 Ill. Admin. Code 820.300(b)(2011)
The Board will meet on Tuesday, May 29th on the Clubhouse 4th floor to discuss this change and vote on whether to adopt it.
